Key responsibilities
Location: Kulim Hi-Tech Park, Kedah, Malaysia

Receiving & Warehouse Operations
- Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials against purchase orders, delivery notes, and quality requirements.
- Check material quantity, specifications, packaging condition, and accompanying documentation before warehouse acceptance.
- Label, segregate, and report non-conforming materials according to company procedures.
- Ensure all receiving records are updated accurately in the SAP system.
Material Storage & Issuing
- Store raw materials, finished products, and hazardous chemicals in designated warehouse locations according to company procedures.
- Perform material issuing based on FIFO (First-In-First-Out) principles to ensure inventory accuracy and material traceability.
- Verify material quantities, packaging integrity, and safety requirements before issuing materials.
- Coordinate with Production and Supply Chain to ensure timely material supply and finished goods warehousing.
Inventory Management
- Conduct daily inventory monitoring and participate in monthly and annual stock counts.
- Reconcile physical inventory with system records and investigate inventory discrepancies.
- Monitor inventory status and report slow-moving, expired, damaged, or obsolete materials.
- Support inventory accuracy improvement and warehouse optimization initiatives.
Warehouse Safety & Environmental Management
- Ensure proper storage and segregation of hazardous chemicals, including electrolyte materials and flammable/corrosive substances.
- Maintain warehouse housekeeping in accordance with 5S requirements and company safety standards.
- Conduct regular inspections on warehouse storage conditions, ventilation, fire protection, and material handling equipment.
- Comply with QEHS requirements and participate in emergency response activities when required.
Warehouse System & Documentation
- Maintain accurate warehouse transactions in SAP, including goods receipt, goods issue, inventory transfer, and stock adjustment.
- Prepare and maintain warehouse documentation, inventory reports, receiving records, and material traceability records.
- Ensure all warehouse documentation complies with company procedures and audit requirements.
5S & Equipment Management
- Maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization in accordance with 5S standards.
- Perform routine inspection of warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, racks, and material handling tools.
- Report equipment abnormalities and coordinate maintenance activities when necessary.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance warehouse efficiency and operational safety.
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in warehouse operations, inventory management, logistics, or material handling within a manufacturing environment.
- Candidates with experience in chemical manufacturing, specialty chemicals, lithium battery materials, or hazardous chemical warehousing will have an added advantage.
- Minimum SPM qualification. Candidates with a Diploma or above in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Warehouse Management, or related disciplines will have an added advantage.
- Familiar with warehouse management procedures, including FIFO, inventory control, material receiving, and issuing processes.
- Experience using SAP ERP or other Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is preferred.
- Possession of a valid forklift driving license will be an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong organizational, communication, and inventory management skills.
- Detail-oriented, responsible, and compliance-focused with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Able to work in a warehouse environment involving hazardous chemicals while strictly adhering to safety, quality, and environmental standards.
- Willing to support overtime, inventory counting, and warehouse operational requirements when necessary.
