Job description

Specialty Food Enterprise Sdn Bhd is seeking a dedicated and organised Storekeeper to join our warehousing and distribution operations in Kuching, Sarawak. This is a full-time position based on-site at our facility. As Storekeeper, you will be the backbone of our inventory management operations, ensuring that all stock is accurately recorded, properly stored, and efficiently distributed to meet the demands of our business and customers. This role is essential to maintaining the integrity of our supply chain and supporting the smooth operation of our distribution centre.
Key responsibilities

Receiving, inspecting and logging incoming goods, verifying quantities and quality against delivery documentation

Organizing and storing inventory in designated locations using appropriate storage methods to maximize space efficiency and product preservation

Maintaining accurate records of all stock movements, including receipts, issues and adjustments, using warehouse management systems

Conducting regular stock counts and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy and identifying discrepancies

Picking, packing and preparing orders for dispatch in accordance with customer requirements and delivery schedules

Labelling and coding items appropriately to facilitate easy identification and traceability

Monitoring stock levels and alerting management to low inventory situations requiring replenishment

Maintaining a clean, organized and safe warehouse environment in compliance with health and safety standards

Assisting with the rotation of stock to ensure first-in-first-out (FIFO) principles are maintained, particularly for perishable specialty food items

What we're looking for

Proven experience as a Storekeeper, Warehouse Assistant or similar role in a warehousing, storage or distribution environment

Strong organizational and attention to detail skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously

Knowledge of inventory control procedures, stock management practices and warehouse safety protocols

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

Physical fitness and willingness to perform physically demanding tasks

Reliability, punctuality and a strong work ethic

Experience in the food or specialty food industry would be beneficial
