About the role

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Storekeeper to join the team at VASA TECH MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. in Bandar Tenggara, Johor. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in receiving, inspecting, storing, issuing, and recording materials, equipment, and supplies. The role ensures that inventory is properly organized, accurately documented, securely stored, and available when required. As a Storekeeper, you will be responsible for working closely with the production, purchasing, maintenance, and logistics teams, the Storekeeper ensures that materials are available when needed and that stock levels are properly maintained to prevent production delays. The role requires strong attention to detail, good organizational skills, and the ability to maintain a safe, clean, and well-managed storage environment with the assistance of applications and management systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Receive deliveries and verify items against purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.
• Inspect incoming materials for quantity, quality, damage, and compliance with specifications.
• Record all goods received and issued using inventory systems, stock cards, or spreadsheets.
• Label, arrange, and store materials in their designated locations.
• Issue materials, tools, and equipment only against authorized requests.
• Maintain accurate stock levels and conduct regular physical inventory counts.
• Monitor minimum stock levels and report shortages or replenishment needs.
• Maintain proper filing of delivery notes, material requisitions, invoices, and inventory records.
• Ensure the store is clean, organized, secure, and compliant with safety requirements.
• Apply appropriate stock-rotation methods, including FIFO where applicable.
• Identify and report damaged, expired, obsolete, or slow-moving stock.
• Coordinate with purchasing, warehouse, operations, and finance teams regarding inventory matters.
• Prevent unauthorized access, stock loss, misuse, and damage.
• Assist with loading, unloading, and moving materials when required.
• Prepare daily, weekly, or monthly stock reports for management.

Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma, certificate, or equivalent qualification.
• 1-2 years of experience as a storekeeper, warehouse assistant, inventory clerk, or similar role, preferably in manufacturing or construction materials industry.
• Basic knowledge of inventory control and warehouse procedures.
• Ability to use Microsoft Excel, inventory software, or SAP systems.
• Ability to read purchase orders, delivery notes, and material requisitions.
• A valid forklift licence is an advantage, where applicable.
• Three languages (BM, M, Eng) serve a big advantage.
