Job summary

HOEM Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a responsible Storekeeper to support daily manufacturing store operations. The role blends hands-on warehouse work with inventory recording, supplier follow-ups, and basic computer tasks.

Responsibilities include receiving materials, verifying DO/PO details, labeling items, issuing to Production, and maintaining accurate stock records. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply, with emphasis on Bahasa Malaysia fluency and data entry accuracy.

Qualifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent. Fresh grad is welcome to apply.
• Fluent spoken Bahasa Malaysia. This is mandatory because the role communicates regularly with local suppliers, drivers and internal departments.
• Basic Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. Must be able to enter data accurately, sort/filter records and use simple formulas.
• Able to communicate with suppliers professionally by phone and WhatsApp and follow up an assigned matter until there is a clear answer or closure.
• Careful with quantity, item identification, documents and data entry.
• Able to perform hands-on warehouse work, including moving and handling materials when required.
• Able to follow SOPs consistently and work independently after training.

Responsibilities

• Monitor stock levels and flag shortages before they impact Production.
• Support stock counts and supplier collections as needed.
• Pack and load finished products and maintain 5S in Store area.

Job description

HOEM Sdn. Bhd. is looking for a responsible and organized Storekeeper to support the daily operation of our manufacturing store. This is a hands-on role that combines physical store work with inventory records, supplier delivery follow-up and basic computer work.

Key responsibilities

Receive and unload incoming materials, consumables, tools, equipment and project items safely at the correct location.

Check delivered items against Delivery Order (DO), Purchase Order (PO), drawing or other available receiving information for quantity, item identity, specification and visible condition.

Identify short delivery, wrong items, damage or missing information and follow up the supplier for balance delivery, replacement, ETA or supporting documents when assigned.

Label consumables with the correct stock number and label project materials with the correct Work Order number before storage or transfer.

Prepare and issue materials and consumables to Production, ensure the correct item and quantity are issued, and maintain proper issue records.

Perform Goods Receipt (GR) entry, stock-card updates, DO/PO filing, scanning and cloud upload according to company procedure.

Update assigned Excel files and Google Sheets, including stock, gas-cylinder, pallet or supplier-follow-up records.

Monitor stock levels and highlight shortages or abnormal stock conditions before they affect Production.

Support stock count, cycle count and checking of physical stock against records.

Coordinate assigned supplier collections such as scrap collection and maintain the required delivery records.

Perform hands-on packing and loading of finished products when required, including physically packing items, checking loose pieces, preparing handling accessories and taking required evidence.

Maintain correct storage location, labelling, segregation, housekeeping, accessibility and 5S in the Store area.

Previous experience in a manufacturing store, warehouse, inventory or logistics role.

Good Excel / Google Sheets ability, including spreadsheet tables, formulas, lookup functions or simple stock tracking.

Experience handling PO, DO, GR, stock cards or inventory systems.

Experience following up suppliers on delivery ETA, short delivery, replacement or missing documents.

Forklift licence or practical material-handling experience.

Basic English reading ability for item descriptions, documents and system entries.
