About the role

We are seeking a Store Supervisor to join Amity Technical Services & Consultancy (M) Sdn.Bhd. in Perai, Penang. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in the efficient operation of our warehouse and distribution centre. As Store Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing daily storage and distribution operations, ensuring that our facility runs smoothly, safely, and in compliance with company standards and industry regulations. This role is essential to maintaining our high service standards and supporting the broader objectives of our logistics operations.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of warehouse and storage staff to ensure efficient operations and adherence to company procedures
• Monitor inventory levels, stock rotation, and proper organisation of goods within the warehouse facility
• Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all transactions
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and security protocols throughout the warehouse
• Manage warehouse documentation, including inventory records, shipping manifests, and stock reports
• Identify and address operational inefficiencies, implementing improvements to enhance productivity
• Train and mentor warehouse staff on proper handling procedures, safety protocols, and company standards
• Maintain equipment and coordinate maintenance schedules for warehouse machinery and systems
• Communicate regularly with management regarding warehouse performance, staffing needs, and operational challenges
• Conduct regular audits and quality checks to ensure goods are stored correctly and remain in good condition

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Store Supervisor, Warehouse Supervisor, or similar supervisory role within a warehouse or distribution environment
• Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems, inventory control procedures, and storage best practices
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise multiple tasks effectively
• Leadership capability with the ability to motivate, train, and manage a team of warehouse staff
• Proficiency in relevant warehouse management software and computer systems
• Sound understanding of health and safety regulations applicable to warehouse operations
• Strong communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with staff at all levels
• Attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation
• Physical capability to perform warehouse duties as required
• Relevant qualification in warehouse management, logistics, or a related field is advantageous
