Job summary

Food Delicacy Material Sdn Bhd is seeking a Logistics Executive in Malaysia to oversee warehouse operations, stock accuracy, and fleet coordination. You will lead a small team, manage daily inventory updates, and ensure efficient cross-functional collaboration with sales and purchasing to optimize stock levels and delivery timelines.

The role focuses on maintaining inventory integrity, coordinating shipping and receiving, and ensuring compliance with transport regulations while driving

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years in warehouse operations and fleet management.
• Experience with cross-border shipping processes is a plus.
• Strong data reporting using Excel, pivot tables, and VLOOKUP.

Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect, and log incoming stock for accuracy and quality.
• Manage store supervisor and assistants performance and workflow.
• Maintain organized warehouse locations and stock records daily.
• Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits.
• Coordinate packing, labeling, and dispatch of outgoing orders.
• Lead a team of drivers and assistants; prepare weekly delivery schedules.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for vehicle inspections and renewals.
• Collaborate with Sales/Purchasing to align forecasts with stock in/out schedules.
• Monitor costs and optimize logistics expenditures without delaying delivery.

Job description

Ensure store receiving team perform receiving, inspection, and log incoming stock for accuracy and quality.

Manage store supervisor and store assistants work flow and performance.

Store goods properly in designated warehouse or store locations.

Perform stock counts and routine inventory audits.

Update inventory records, stock cards, and computer databases on daily basis.

Prevent stockouts or overstocking through close monitoring.

Ensure clean warehouse and safe warehouse practices.

Monitor KK and Kuching stock level on a timely basis and prepare delivery plan and schedule.

Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with sales and purchasing teams to align inventory forecasts with stock-in schedules, minimizing stock holding costs.

Logistics & Distribution Operations

Coordinate packing, labeling, and dispatching of outgoing orders.

Liaise with transport providers, drivers, and vendors for timely delivery.

Manage a team of 6 drivers and 2 driver assistants, and prepare drivers’ weekly delivery schedule plan

Prepare drivers’ attendance summary and trip allowance calculation

Fleet and safety governance: ensure full compliance with PUSPAKOM inspections, road transport regulations (JPJ) and road tax renewal, vehicle insurance renewals follow up

Prepare shipping documents, delivery orders, and system logs for KK and Kuching shipments

Track and trace shipments to resolve any transit delays at KK and Kuching

Monitor lorries’ maintenance schedule

Process and cost optimization: audit logistic expenditures (mileage vs diesel usage, Touch&Go usage, claims) and propose cost reduction strategies without compromising delivery timelines.

Process import permit for KK shipments under DAVETSA, and process yearly “Coldroom Permit” under DVS-eColdroom System

Qualifications

Education: Minimum SPM, High School Diploma, or a relevant certificate/degree in Logistics or Supply Chain.

Experience: Minimum 3-5 years warehouse operations and fleet management, ideally with experience managing east Malaysia cross border shipping processes.

Skills:

Systems proficiency: hands-on experience with ERP/WMS systems such as AutoCount, and advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) for data reporting

Good communication and organizational abilities.

Leadership Traits: proven track record of managing operational teams (drivers and assistants) with strong conflict resolution and leadership skills.

Physical fitness for handling inventory tasks.
