Fortune Food Manufacturing Sdn Bhd in Malaysia seeks a Logistics Executive to coordinate inbound and outbound movements, maintain accurate inventory, and ensure compliance with customs and halal/ISO standards. You will work with warehouse, procurement, sales, and customer service teams to optimise order fulfilment.
Requirements include a Diploma/Degree in Logistics or related field, 2–4 years in logistics/inventory control, familiarity with shipping docs and incoterms, and proficiency in ERP/WMS
The Logistics Executive is responsible for coordinating the timely and accurate movement of goods - both inbound (raw materials/finished goods from suppliers) and outbound (shipments to customers/distributors) - while maintaining accurate inventory records.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and process shipping documents - delivery orders (DO), invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, certificates of origin, and export/import permits.
Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs brokers to arrange timely shipment of goods (local and/or export).
Ensure compliance with customs regulations, import/export licensing, and any FMCG-specific requirements (e.g. halal certification, health/safety certificates, HACCP where applicable).
Track shipment status and proactively resolve delays, discrepancies, or documentation issues.
Coordinate with transporters to schedule pickups/deliveries and optimize delivery routes and costs.
Monitor stock levels across warehouse(s) and ensure inventory records in the system (ERP/WMS) match physical stock.
Conduct regular cycle counts and full stock takes; investigate and resolve discrepancies.
Manage stock rotation using FIFO/FEFO principles - critical in FMCG due to shelf-life and expiry dates.
Prepare regular reports on shipment status, inventory levels, stock variances, and logistics KPIs (on-time delivery, order accuracy, inventory turnover).
Work closely with warehouse, procurement, sales, and customer service teams to ensure smooth order fulfilment.
About you
Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
2-4 years of relevant experience in logistics/inventory control, preferably in FMCG or manufacturing.
Familiarity with shipping documentation, incoterms, and customs procedures.
Proficient in ERP/WMS systems (e.g. SAP, Oracle) and MS Excel.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Good communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external logistics partners.
Able to work under pressure.
