Responsibilities

• Receive, inspect and log goods into the warehouse management system.
• Organise and store items with labeling and accessibility.
• Conduct regular inventory counts and reconcile with records.
• Pick and pack items for dispatch per order specs.
• Maintain accurate records of warehouse transactions and stock movements.
• Keep the warehouse clean, safe and organized at all times.
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and scanners (with certification).
• Assist with stock takes, audits and cycle counts as required.
• Support Store Senior Staff with ad hoc warehouse tasks.
• Identify and report damaged, defective or obsolete stock.
• Adhere to health, safety and security protocols.

About the role

Prosdata Engineering Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Store Assistant to join our Warehousing, Storage & Distribution team at our Shah Alam, Selangor facility. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in maintaining the efficiency and organisation of our warehouse operations. The Store Assistant will be responsible for managing inventory, supporting daily warehouse activities, and ensuring that all materials and equipment are properly stored, tracked, and readily available for our operational needs. This role is integral to keeping our supply chain running smoothly and supporting the broader business objectives of Prosdata Engineering.

Key responsibilities

Receiving, inspecting and logging incoming goods and materials into the warehouse management system

Organising and storing items in designated locations, ensuring proper labelling and accessibility

Conducting regular inventory counts and reconciling stock levels with system records

Picking and packing items for dispatch in accordance with order specifications

Maintaining accurate records of all warehouse transactions and stock movements

Ensuring the warehouse environment is clean, safe and organised at all times

Operating warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks and scanning devices (with appropriate certification)

Assisting with stock takes, audits and cycle counts as required

Supporting the Store Senior Staff with special projects and ad hoc warehouse tasks

Identifying and reporting damaged, defective or obsolete stock items

Adhering to all health, safety and security protocols within the warehouse

Proven experience working in a warehouse, storage or distribution environment

Strong attention to detail with excellent organisational skills

Ability to work accurately with warehouse management systems and scanning equipment

Good physical fitness and ability to lift heavy items regularly

Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards of work

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Basic numeracy and literacy skills

Relevant certifications such as forklift operation licence (desirable)

Knowledge of inventory management best practices (preferred)

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
