MidasMart, managed by Midas Merge Sdn. Bhd., invites applications for Stock Control & Inventory Manager in our Johor Bahru retail operation. The role focuses on receiving, stock movements, FIFO/FEFO expiry control and accurate inventory records across pallet, carton and loose goods.
You will lead a team, coordinate goods receiving and replenishment to the sales floor, and drive improvements in stock-control processes within a fast-moving retail environment.
We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Stock Control & Inventory Manager to lead receiving, inventory control and stock movement within our supermarket operations.
The successful candidate will manage pallet, carton, loose, mixed and expiry-sensitive products while ensuring accurate receiving, clear stock traceability and timely store replenishment.
This role requires strong retail inventory experience, team leadership and the ability to improve stock-control processes in a fast-moving environment.
Oversee daily receiving, inventory control and stock movement activities.
Lead the Goods Receiving operation and coordinate the respective Section PICs.
Ensure goods are accurately checked against PO, DO, invoices and system records.
Verify quantities, barcodes, weights, packaging condition and expiry dates.
Ensure GRN and receiving documentation are completed accurately and on time.
Handle shortages, damages, incorrect deliveries and other receiving discrepancies.
Monitor stock movement and ensure all stock has a clear location and status.
Coordinate stock transfers and timely replenishment to the sales floor.
Investigate missing, misplaced, delayed or untraceable stock.
Monitor inventory accuracy, excess stock, stock ageing and outstanding transfers.
Manage goods returns, damaged items and daily disposal.
Maintain proper housekeeping, organization and safety in all stock-handling areas.
Support stocktakes, cycle counts and inventory-variance investigations.
Coordinate stock movement during peak promotions and festive periods.
Improve receiving, stock-control, handover and reporting procedures.
Work closely with Buying, Operations, Admin, Audit and Security.
Plan manpower, train team members and monitor compliance with SOPs.
Follow up on audit findings and corrective actions until completion.
Prepare regular inventory and operational reports for Management.

Diploma or Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Inventory Management, Retail Operations or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in inventory control, stock management or goods receiving.
At least 2 years of supervisory or managerial experience.
Experience in supermarket, hypermarket, FMCG retail or large-format retail is strongly preferred.
Experienced in handling pallet, carton, loose, mixed and expiry-sensitive products.
Strong knowledge of receiving, stock transfers, replenishment, goods returns and disposal.
Familiar with PO, DO, invoices, GRN, barcode scanning, PDA and inventory systems.
Good understanding of FIFO/FEFO, expiry control and damaged-stock handling.
Able to investigate stock discrepancies and trace physical stock movements.
Strong leadership, coordination, problem-solving and follow-up skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory reporting.
Hands-on and willing to conduct regular physical inspections.
Able to coordinate day and night-shift stock movements.
Willing to support operations during weekends, public holidays or festive peak periods when required.
