Job summary

HeroMarket in Malaysia is seeking a Department Supervisor to oversee a department’s operations, including merchandising, stock control, pricing accuracy, inventory management, and delivering customer service to meet sales targets set by the company.

You will train and coach staff on product knowledge and display standards, ensure planograms are followed, implement FIFO, and maintain clean, well-presented shelves across the department.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of experience in retail.
• Own transport required; willing to be transferred to other outlets.
• Able to work retail hours, including shift work, weekends and public holidays.
• Self-motivated, proactive, with good interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the overall well-being and operations of the assigned department.
• Monitor and replenish merchandise, ensuring displays meet company standards.
• Understand and implement the planogram set by the Company.
• Apply FIFO (First-In-First-Out) principles and control expired stock.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of products and display areas.
• Monitor and update shelf pricing for all stock items in the department.
• Oversee inventory management for the grocery section, ensuring stock levels align with demand.
• Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
• Achieve sales targets set by the Company.

• Conduct daily inventory checks and prepare reports.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by Management.
