Job summary

LYC Mall Sdn Bhd (Plaza Low Yat) seeks a Senior Leasing Executive to drive leasing strategy and maximise occupancy across premier retail properties in Kuala Lumpur City Centre. You will manage tenant relationships and secure new brands, overseeing the full leasing cycle from prospecting to onboarding.

The role requires 3–5 years in retail/property leasing, strong negotiation and communication skills, and deep knowledge of the KL retail market. Competitive package and health benefits offered.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ experience in retail/property/commercial real estate.
• Proven track record of closing deals and achieving occupancy targets.
• Strong negotiation and sales skills with stakeholder rapport.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation abilities.
• Deep knowledge of Kuala Lumpur retail market and brands.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and CRM software.
• Able to work independently and collaborate cross-functionally.
• Analytical and detail-oriented with problem-solving skills.
• Professional qualification in real estate or related field is advantageous.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a plus.

Responsibilities

About the role

LYC Mall Sdn Bhd (Plaza Low Yat) is seeking a Senior Leasing Executive to join our dynamic retail and property development team. This is a full-time position based in the heart of Kuala Lumpur City Centre, where you will play a crucial role in driving our leasing strategy and maximising occupancy rates across our premier retail properties. As a Senior Leasing Executive, you will be responsible for managing and nurturing relationships with existing tenants whilst actively identifying and securing new retail tenants to enhance the vibrancy and profitability of our shopping destination. This role is integral to our business growth and success in the competitive retail property market.

Key responsibilities

• Source, identify and secure new retail tenants through proactive business development, networking and market analysis
• Negotiate lease terms, rental rates and commercial agreements with potential and existing tenants to maximise revenue
• Manage the full leasing cycle, from initial prospect engagement through to lease completion and tenant onboarding
• Maintain and strengthen relationships with existing tenants, addressing concerns and identifying renewal and expansion opportunities
• Prepare comprehensive leasing proposals, presentations and marketing materials to attract high-quality retail brands
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to benchmark rental rates and identify market trends
• Coordinate with internal departments including property management, marketing and finance to ensure seamless tenant integration
• Monitor lease compliance and manage lease documentation, including renewals and amendments
• Report on leasing performance, occupancy rates and pipeline activity to senior management
• Represent the property at industry events, trade shows and networking forums to build brand visibility

What we’re looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in retail leasing, property leasing or commercial real estate within a similar capacity
• Proven track record of successfully closing leasing deals and achieving occupancy targets
• Strong negotiation and sales skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse stakeholders
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities, both written and verbal
• In-depth knowledge of the Kuala Lumpur retail market, including key retail brands, market trends and competitive positioning
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and property management or CRM software
• Ability to work independently whilst collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with meticulous attention to detail
• Professional qualification in real estate, property management or related field is advantageous
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin is a plus
