Job summary

Micron Semiconductors Malaysia is seeking an Infrastructure Level 2 Operations professional to support Windows and Unix server environments in a hybrid cloud setting, with emphasis on automation and operational excellence across multiple data centers.

You will handle incident, request, change, and problem management, monitor performance, contribute to DR drills, and develop automation for health checks, dashboards, and reports, while collaborating with Level 3 experts to improve security,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics/Computer/Software Engineering, Information Systems or related fields.
• Academic know-how or internship experiences in infrastructure IT (Windows Server, RHEL) and virtualization technologies.
• Certifications from Microsoft, VMware, Citrix and Cisco are a plus.
• Programming and scripting knowledge (Java, PowerShell, Python) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide L2 support for incident, request, change and problem management related to server and DB operations in Windows and Unix operating systems.
• Provide L2 support and participate in Major incidents.
• Ensure SLA for incidents and service requests are met with high quality of work.
• Monitor server performance proactively and perform analysis to prevent recurring issues.
• Develop automation for system health checks and routine maintenance.
• Create and manage reports, visualizations, and dashboards related to Windows/Unix operations.
• Perform capacity planning and participate in Disaster Recovery drills.
• Work with Level 3 SMEs for improvements to security, availability, performance, interoperability and reliability.

In this role, your primary focus will be to support Infrastructure Level 2 Operations with primary focus on Windows and Unix Server technologies and methodologies, which will have a heavy emphasis on automation and a hybrid cloud environment, while maintaining operational excellence in multiple world class Data Center environments.

Job Responsibility:

ProvideL2supportin incident,request, changeandproblemmanagementrelated to server and DB operations in Windows and Unixoperating systems.

Provide L2 support and participate in Major incidents.

EnsureSLA for incidents and service requests are met with high quality of work.

Ensure KPIs,such asbreach case target, MTTR and escalation target is met.

Install and upgrade firmware for hardware and operating systems, apply patches andimplement changes when required.

Diagnose and solve OS/hardware errors ensuring high availability of MFG systems.

Monitor server performance proactivelyand perform analysis of cases to prevent recurring issues.

Enhance monitoring/alerting to reduce noise and recurrences.

Develop processes and operation procedures related to server operations.

Create and manage reports, visualizations, and dashboards related to windows/unix operations.

Perform capacity planning and participate in DisasterRecovery drills.

Work with Subject Matter experts (Level 3) for improvement projects to ensure security, availability, performance, interoperability and reliability of Micron's core computing resources.

Build/maintain automation for system health checks and routine maintenance.

Leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to enhance business processes, including developing and implementing AI-driven solutions to improve efficiency, accuracy, and operating as a culture vanguard towards infusing AI into everyday work.

Requirement:

Bachelor'sor Master'sdegree Computer Science, Electrical & Electronics/Computer/SoftwareEngineering, Information Systems or relatedfields.

Academic know-how or internship experiences in the infrastructure domain of IT (Microsoft Windows 2019, 2016 and RHEL operating systems, Microsoft SQL and Oracle) and virtualizationtechnologies!

Desire to learn hardware and virtualization technologies like Cisco UCS, HPE ProLiant, VMware, Nutanix, OpenShift andCitrix

Certifications from Microsoft, VMWare, Citrix and Cisco and familiarity with scripting languages will be an added advantage

Knowledge in programmingand scriptinglanguages such as Java,PowerShelland Pythonis preferred!
