Job summary

Runners Unite is seeking a proactive Event Operations Executive to join our team in Penang. You will coordinate preparations, equipment, logistics, and on-site operations for sporting events, working with clients, partners, and crews to ensure smooth delivery.

This hands-on role blends office planning with field execution, offers regional travel to events in Malaysia and nearby regions, and requires strong organisation, communication, and problem-solving to keep events on schedule.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Event Management, Sports Management, Business Administration, Logistics, or related discipline.
• Willingness to travel for events and work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Strong organisational, coordination, and time-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to work with diverse teams.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operational requirements for events, from pre-event preparation and logistics to on-site execution and post-event activities.
• Prepare and organise event equipment, digital assets, vehicles, technical resources, and manpower according to event requirements.
• Assist with event setup, scheduling, logistics, technical support, and on-site coordination.
• Monitor operational timelines and ensure all event deliverables are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Identify potential operational issues and take initiative to resolve problems efficiently.
• Liaise with clients, suppliers, event organisers, venues, and other stakeholders to confirm operational requirements and expectations.
