Job summary

Hatch Asia Sdn Bhd, partnering with a leading international building materials company, is seeking a Specification Manager for Malaysia. You will own specification-led opportunities and build relationships with architects, consultants, developers, contractors and end users across the region.

Qualifications

• Proven specification sales experience in building products.
• Established network with architects, consultants, developers, contractors.
• Strong technical credibility with commercial acumen.
• Ability to influence decision-makers across multiple levels.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage relationships with architects, consultants, developers, general contractors and end clients.
• Identify and pursue new project opportunities across targeted market segments.
• Drive product specifications by providing technical guidance, design support and appropriate solutions to project stakeholders.
• Build and maintain a robust project pipeline, tracking opportunities from early-stage design through to construction.
• Work closely with technical teams to prepare presentations, specifications and technical proposals.
• Develop relationships with key specifier accounts and major developers.
• Monitor market activity, industry trends, customer requirements and competitor developments.
• Support tender submissions and collaborate with internal teams to resolve technical queries.
• Participate in industry events, trade shows and networking activities to strengthen market presence.
• Develop long-term relationships with relevant industry bodies and associations.
• Maintain accurate CRM and pipeline reporting and provide regular market intelligence to the leadership team.
• Travel within the region as required.
