Job summary

Role Description

The Solution Manager (Warehouse Automation) is a full-time, on-site role based in Selangor, Malaysia. This role is responsible for leading end-to-end solution development for warehouse automation projects, including requirements gathering, solution design, cost estimation, and proposal preparation. The Solution Manager collaborates with sales, engineering, and project teams to translate customer needs into practical, scalable automation solutions, such as conveyor systems, AS/RS, and automated picking technologies. Day-to-day activities include conducting site assessments, preparing technical and commercial presentations, supporting presales engagements, and participating in client meetings and negotiations. The role also oversees solution handover to project implementation teams, monitors solution performance, and contributes to continuous improvement of solution offerings and standards.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to assess warehouse operations, interpret data, and develop optimization strategies for automation solutions.
• Consulting skills to engage with clients, understand business requirements, and recommend appropriate warehouse automation approaches.
• Project management capabilities to coordinate solution development activities, manage timelines, and support smooth handover to implementation teams.
• Sales and presales experience to prepare proposals, deliver solution presentations, participate in tenders, and support deal closure.
• Background or familiarity in warehouse automation, intralogistics, or industrial automation (e.g., conveyors, AS/RS, robotics, WMS/WCS integration).
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using productivity and analytical tools (e.g., spreadsheets, presentation software, basic CAD or layout tools is an advantage).
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, supply chain, logistics, or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Ability to work on-site in Selangor, travel to customer locations as needed, and collaborate effectively in a cross-functional team environment.
