Job summary

Forwardlog Automation is seeking a Solution Engineer to join its warehouse automation team in Malaysia. The role combines front-end technical solutioning with hands-on on-site project execution, working closely with customers, internal teams, and partners to deliver reliable automation solutions.

You will contribute to sales support, system design, and site surveys, while coordinating with suppliers and vendors during project implementation.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field)
• 1–2 years of experience in automation, system integration, or material handling
• Fresh graduates with strong interest in warehouse automation are encouraged to apply

Responsibilities

• Support sales activities with data analysis, technical solution design, system concepts, and layout proposals.
• Understand customer requirements and translate them into automation solutions.
• Prepare technical clarifications and input for quotations.
• Participate in technical discussions, presentations, and site surveys with customers.
• Coordinate with suppliers and principals on system specifications and feasibility.
• Support system installation, testing, and commissioning on-site.
• Prepare project-related documentation (installation records, test reports, handover documents)

We are looking for an Solution Engineer to join our growing warehouse automation team. This role is ideal for engineers who enjoy both front-end technical solutioning (presales) and hands-on project execution on site.

You will work closely with customers, internal teams, and technology partners to deliver reliable and efficient automation solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Support sales activities with data analysis, technical solution design, system concepts, and layout proposals.
• Understand customer operational requirements and translate them into automation solutions.
• Prepare technical clarifications, assumptions, and input for quotations.
• Participate in technical discussions, presentations, and site surveys with customers
• Coordinate with suppliers and principals on system specifications and feasibility.

Project Execution & Site Support

• Participate in technical and software functional workshop
• Prepare project documentation such as system blueprint.
• Support system installation, testing, and commissioning on-site
• Coordinate with internal teams, subcontractors, and vendors during project implementation
• Conduct system functional tests, trial runs, and UAT support
• Prepare project-related documentation (installation records, test reports, handover documents)

Requirements

• Diploma / Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automation, or related field)
• 1–2 years of experience in automation, system integration, material handling, or industrial projects

(Fresh graduates with strong interest in warehouse automation are encouraged to apply)

• Able to read and understand technical drawings and layouts
• Willing to travel and work on-site during installation and commissioning phases
• Proactive, responsible, and able to work independently
• Mandarin speaking capability is preferred as the role requires communication with Mandarin-speaking suppliers and partners.

Nice to Have

• Experience in warehouse automation systems (AMR, shuttle, conveyor, sorter, AS/RS)
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar tools
• Basic understanding of WMS / WCS / control systems
• Experience supporting UAT or system handover
