You will be responsible for independently executing and completing a range of industrial automation, control system, and digitalization projects, as well as providing after-sales support. At this level, we expect you to have strong technical and problem-solving skills, be resourceful, and report project status to the Project Manager on a timely basis.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Study project specifications to understand customer requirements.
- Liaise with customers, vendors, and principals to address technical and commercial issues.
- Maintain project schedules by monitoring progress, coordinating activities, and resolving issues.
- Procure project materials, equipment, and arrange the required manpower in a timely manner.
- Control project costs to minimize non-conformance costs.
- Develop engineering and software designs based on project specifications and prepare all associated documentation.
- Perform in-house testing and Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT).
- Carry Out Site deployment and installation, and system testing and commissioning.
- Perform on-site troubleshooting, servicing, and repairs of systems, equipment, and installations.
- Other duties as assigned from time to time
Education & Experience
- Degree in Electrical & Electronic Engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or other relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in a similar environment.
Skill/Knowledge & Requirements
- Proficient in PLCs, SCADA/HMI, DCS, industrial networks and control system design.
- Proven experience with industrial digitalization projects, including IIoT platforms, MES, data historians, data management applications (i.e. MDM, LIMS, etc.) , IT/OT cybersecurity, and cloud-based analytics and solutions.
- Familiarity with C++, .NET, C#, JavaScript, and experience in project management will be an added advantage.
- Hands-on experience throughout the end-to-end project management cycle.
- Willingness to learn new knowledge and the ability to acquire new skills as needed
- Demonstrates the ability to resolve issues efficiently, with strong problem-solving skills that include anticipating, identifying, and addressing challenges independently.
- Able to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment and willing to work outside normal hours when required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills for meeting and reports writing.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (onshore and offshore).
- Valid driving license.
