Job summary

BE Automation Sdn Bhd is seeking a Software Product Engineer to define software architecture aligned with customer and market requirements, and to prepare comprehensive PRDs for implementation. The role emphasizes market research, data-driven decisions, and documentation to ensure product stability and scalability.

The candidate should have a background in computer science or software engineering, at least two years in product engineering, and familiarity with logistics/warehouse systems.

Responsibilities

Job description

Research target markets, analyze user needs, and define the planning and optimization of the software architecture to ensure alignment, feasibility, and efficiency of software solutions with customer and market requirements.

Collect, organize, analyze, and discuss user requirements, and prepare detailed Product Requirement Documents (PRD) to ensure accurate communication and implementation of requirements.

Continuously propose software feature enhancements based on user feedback and market changes to improve user experience, ensuring product stability and scalability.

Monitor and resolve technical issues arising during product development and operation, propose and implement solutions, and ensure project progress.

Use data analysis tools to conduct in-depth analysis of product operation data, evaluate product performance, and provide data-driven support for product decisions.

Prepare and maintain relevant technical documentation, including design documents, API/interface documentation, and user manuals, to ensure accurate understanding of the product’s technical architecture and implementation details by team members.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related fields, with a solid foundation in computer science theory.
• At least 2 years of experience in software product engineering or related technical roles; familiarity with logistics and warehouse management software/processes is a plus.
• Priority will be given to candidates with experience in logistics, warehousing systems and AVG Scheduling System.
• Proficiency in writing Product Requirement Documents, with strong logical thinking and communication skills.
• Familiarity with product lifecycle management, expertise in market research methods, and sharp market insight with data analysis ability.
• Understanding of user experience design principles and user-centered design thinking.
• Strong communication, coordination, and teamwork skills.
• High sense of responsibility and ability to perform under pressure.
• Willingness to travel internationally and undergo training in China as required by the role.
• Must be proficient in both English and Chinese.
