Job summary

WPG Holdings in Malaysia is seeking a software engineer to develop, support, and maintain the Warehouse Management System (WMS) used across warehousing and logistics operations. You will work with corporate MIS and business users to deliver new functions and ensure reliable system operation.

You will collaborate with the development team using Java/Spring Boot and MS SQL, gather requirements, perform UAT, troubleshoot issues, optimize queries, and maintain up‑to‑date system documentation to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology or IT equivalent.
• 1–3 years of relevant software development experience.

Responsibilities

Job description

To develop, support, and maintain the Warehouse Management System (WMS), collaborating with corporate MIS and business users to deliver new functions and ensure stable system operation that supports the company’s warehousing and logistics operations.

Job Functions

Collaborate with the development team to design, build, and maintain the Warehouse Management System (WMS) using Java / Spring Boot with MS SQL

Gather, analyze, and clarify user requirements; communicate directly with users to confirm scope before development.

Prepares and conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT)

Investigate all reported problems/errors & initiate amendments & testing so that the system can operate correctly and efficiently

Tune and optimize database performance (e.g. query and index design) to support a stable production environment

Prepare and maintain up-to-date system documentation.

Education & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering / Information Technology related field, or IT equivalent.

1–3 years of relevant software development working experience.

Hands-on development experience in Java and Spring Boot.

Experience with MS SQL Server and version control using GIT.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

Required:

Proficient in Java, Spring Boot, GIT, and MS SQL.

Self-motivated, a good team player, with a continuous improvement attitude.

Good analytical and trouble-shooting skills.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficient in English, with strong cross-border communication skills to collaborate effectively with the corporate MIS team in Taiwan.

Added Advantage:

Understanding of warehousing / logistics business logic (e.g. FIFO, LOT control).

Experience using AI-assisted development tools (e.g. GitHub Copilot, Gemini).

System analysis (SA) / requirement analysis experience, including direct user interviews.
