Job summary

SL Information Solutions Sdn Bhd is seeking a Software Engineer to join the Infor M3 team in Malaysia. The role focuses on Java development, BI reporting, data integration, and delivering data-driven ERP solutions for enterprise clients.

You will work closely with consultants and business users to translate requirements into technical design, ensuring data accuracy and scalable performance across M3 environments.

Qualifications

• Experience with Java-based applications and REST APIs.
• Experience in BI reporting and analytics tooling (Power BI, Tableau).
• Solid SQL/database knowledge (MSSQL, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
• Experience with ETL processes and data modelling.
• Familiarity with API integration and middleware concepts.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join our Infor M3 team, responsible for developing, supporting, and enhancing enterprise solutions with a strong focus on Java development and Business Intelligence (BI).

This role involves working closely with consultants and business users to deliver data-driven solutions, integrations, and customisations for ERP systems.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain Java-based applications supporting Infor M3 and related systems

Design and build BI reports, dashboards, and analytics solutions to support business operations

Perform data extraction, transformation (ETL), and integration between M3 and external systems

Work with functional consultants to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Troubleshoot and resolve system, integration, and data-related issues

Ensure data accuracy, system performance, and scalability

Participate in implementation, upgrade, and support projects for Infor M3 environment

Document technical specifications and support end-users when needed

Technical Requirements

Strong experience in Java (Spring Boot / REST APIs preferred)

Hands-on experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)

Strong knowledge of SQL / database (MSSQL, Oracle, or PostgreSQL)

Experience in data modelling, reporting, and ETL processes

Familiar with API integration and middleware concepts

Soft Skills

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Good communication with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Ability to work independently and in a team environment
