Tentacle Tech is seeking an experienced Software Developer to support a major financial sector client. You will join an applications development team focusing on SAS ETL, data marts and data warehouse solutions to power MIS and analytics.

The role requires strong SAS, SQL and scripting skills, and deep experience in a large-scale data integration environment. A 12-month contract with mentoring and career progression is offered in Kuala Lumpur.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent.
• 10+ years of SAS ETL development experience.
• 12+ years in the software development life cycle and processes.
• Domain knowledge in Banking/Financial, Risk Management, Regulatory Reporting, or Basel II/III is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze, design, develop, test, implement and maintain Business Enablers systems projects and change requests.
• Build and optimize SAS ETL programs to create SAS datasets from databases and external data sources.
• Analyze business requirements to perform feasibility studies, gap analysis and functional and technical design, including data profiling, cleansing and transformation.
• Manage data mart requirements and plan a scalable data warehouse roadmap for the future.
• Provide second level support, including problem investigation, root cause identification and permanent fixes.
• Work closely with Project Managers, Business Analysts and delivery teams, while ensuring regulatory compliance (e.g. BNM, MAS) and maintaining technical and CAB documentation.

The Role

We are seeking an experienced Software Developer / Software Programmer, supporting a leading organization in the financial sector. You will join an applications development team responsible for enhancing and supporting Business Enablers systems, with a strong focus on SAS ETL, data marts and data warehouse solutions that power MIS and analytical reporting. If you enjoy turning business requirements into reliable, well-documented data solutions, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

• Analyze, design, develop, test, implement and maintain Business Enablers systems projects and change requests
• Build and optimize SAS ETL programs to create SAS datasets from databases and external data sources
• Analyze business requirements to perform feasibility studies, gap analysis and functional and technical design, including data profiling, cleansing and transformation

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in information technology or equivalent
• At least 10 years of development experience with SAS ETL (SAS Data Integration)
• At least 12 years of experience in the software development life cycle and processes
• Domain knowledge in at least one of: Banking and Financial, Risk Management, Regulatory Reporting, or Basel II / Basel III
• Strong SAS, SQL and scripting skills, with SAS backend process and troubleshooting experience and good Unix / Linux / Windows knowledge
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and independent working skills, with the ability to thrive under pressure
• Advantageous: database and data model design, risk model implementation, BI and reporting tools, and data warehouse or big data project experience
