Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a software developer to design, build, test, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications and services. You will work with RESTful APIs, backend services, and event-driven architectures using AWS and serverless technologies.

The role involves participating in design discussions, code reviews,and writing clean, well-tested code, while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment. On-call rotations may be required after onboarding.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Node.js.
• Experience building REST APIs and cloud-based apps.
• Familiarity with event-driven, microservices architectures.
• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Experience writing unit tests with Jest or similar.
• Experience with Git, GitHub and CI/CD workflows.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain scalable cloud-native applications and services.

• Participate actively in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, retrospectives, and backlog refinement sessions.
• Support CI/CD initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement of development processes.
• Participate in production support activities and on-call rotations after appropriate training and onboarding.
• Continuously learn and adopt new tools, technologies, and best practices.
