Job summary

WCL Shop in Malaysia is seeking a versatile developer to build and maintain web apps using JavaScript, React, HTML and CSS, while designing robust server-side logic with Node.js.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ship features, write clean code, review peers, and troubleshoot issues. This onsite role requires strong communication in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia, plus a proactive, learning mindset.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain responsive web applications using JavaScript, React, HTML, and CSS, ensuring a seamless user experience across all devices.
• Build and integrate robust backend services and RESTful APIs using Node.js to support frontend functionalities and data exchange.
• Design, implement, and manage database schemas and queries for both SQL and NoSQL databases, ensuring data integrity and efficient retrieval.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, contributing to the entire software development lifecycle.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to best practices and coding standards.
• Utilize version control systems like Git for code management, branching, merging, and collaborative development.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, identify potential issues, and share knowledge with team members.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues across the full stack, from the frontend user interface to the backend services and database.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and technologies.
• Assist in the deployment and monitoring of applications, ensuring their stability and performance in production environments.
