Job summary

Bitara Capital Sdn. Bhd. in Kuala Lumpur seeks an experienced Senior Full-Stack Engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable software solutions.

The role requires proficiency across front-end frameworks (React, Next.js, Vue), TypeScript, and back-end languages (Go, Java, Python) with a microservices mindset. You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative 20-person multidisciplinary team, building APIs (REST, GraphQL, gRPC), data stores (PostgreSQL/MySQL/Redis), and cloud deployments (AWS/GCP).

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of professional experience in full-stack development.
• Expertise in front-end development using modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Vue.js, with strong proficiency in TypeScript.
• Solid experience in back-end development with languages like Go, Java, Node.js, or Python, and a deep understanding of microservices architecture.
• Hands-on experience with message queuing technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS for asynchronous communication.
• Proficiency in designing and implementing APIs using REST, WebSocket, gRPC, GraphQL, and standards like OpenAPI and Protobuf.
• Experience with database technologies including PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis, and knowledge of data modeling and optimization.
• Familiarity with containerization using Docker and orchestration with Kubernetes for scalable deployments.
• Experience in setting up and managing CI/CD pipelines for efficient software delivery.
• Cloud platform experience with AWS or GCP, including deployment and management of services.
• Understanding of Web3 and blockchain concepts is a plus, contributing to innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication skills in English, with proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia or Mandarin being advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced environment within a 20-person multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy scalable and robust full-stack applications using a variety of modern technologies including React, Next.js, Vue, TypeScript, Go, Java, and Python.
• Build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable backend services and APIs using microservices architecture, leveraging message brokers like Kafka, RabbitMQ, or NATS.
• Implement and manage data storage solutions using PostgreSQL, MySQL, and Redis, ensuring data integrity and optimal performance.
• Develop and integrate Web3 and blockchain functionalities into applications, staying abreast of the latest industry trends and best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features, contributing to all phases of the development lifecycle from conception to deployment.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code, adhering to industry best practices and conducting thorough code reviews.
• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines using Docker and Kubernetes on cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, ensuring smooth and automated deployments.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems, identifying and implementing performance enhancements and optimizations.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical strategy, ensuring the long-term scalability and maintainability of the platform.
• Mentor junior developers and share knowledge to foster a collaborative and high-performing engineering team.
