Job summary

ABB Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Segment Sales Specialist for the Penang/Northern region to drive front-end sales of Electrification Smart Buildings products, systems and services with channel partners and direct customers.

You will pursue new business opportunities while meeting qualitative and quantitative targets and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships. The role operates in a hybrid work model with engagement across Channel Partners, Direct Customers, and internal sales teams to

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of front-end sales experience in industrial, electrical, or automation sectors.
• Experience managing channel partners and direct accounts.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
• Knowledge of Northern Penang market for Building, General Industry, Semincon, Data Center, Factory segments advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage front-end sales for Electrification Smart Buildings through channel partners and direct customers in Penang/Northern Region Malaysia.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships regarding delivery timelines, pricing, payment terms and general conditions.
• Identify, develop and pursue new business opportunities within the Penang/Northern region while ensuring effective stakeholder management.
• Manage sales administration and support cash collection; contribute to project management as needed.
• Leverage local market knowledge to expand customer base and market penetration.
