Job summary

ABB in Malaysia seeks a dynamic Service Sales professional to drive service opportunities and profitability within the Southern region. You will focus on Installed Base penetration, upselling the full Service portfolio and building long-term customer relationships.

The role combines field sales with strategic planning, requiring 5–8 years of MV/LV experience, strong communication, and a proven network in Malaysia’s Southern region.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with knowledge of electrical power distribution systems.
• 5–8 years of experience in MV/LV switchgear and protection relays in Sales, Service, PM, or Field Service roles.
• Experience with Data Center, Industries, Oil & Gas, Utilities or Manufacturing sectors is a plus.
• Strong customer-facing and business development capabilities.
• Established network within Southern Region Malaysia, especially Industries/Data Center sectors.
• Able to travel extensively across Southern Region Malaysia (>50%). Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Drive service sales processes, generate service sales opportunities and secure profitable sales within designated areas.
• Penetrate existing ABB and competitor install base to generate service leads for upgrades, retrofits, maintenance and value-add solutions for MV and LV distributions.
• Develop a customer base in the geography assigned, build relationships and establish a sales strategy to grow share of wallet.
• Prepare a yearly commercial plan with clear actions to meet order targets, submit monthly forecasts, and implement recovery plans when needed.
• Support the promotion and marketing of ABB’s service products during campaigns, trade fairs, exhibitions, and customer meetings.
