ABB's Service Division in Malaysia seeks a Sales Engineer for service sales across MV/LV distributions. You will penetrate existing install base, generate leads for upgrades, retrofits, and maintenance, and build long-term customer relationships.

The role focuses on East Coast Malaysia, with a hybrid work model and travel across the region. The ideal candidate has 5–8 years in MV/LV switchgear and protection relays, strong business development skills, and an established East Coast network.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• 5–8 years of experience involving MV/LV switchgear and protection relays in Sales, Service, Project Management, or Field Service roles.
• Experience with Oil & Gas, Utilities, Data Centres, Industrial or Manufacturing sectors.
• Strong customer-facing and business development capabilities; established network in East Coast Malaysia.
• Willingness to travel extensively across East Malaysia (>50%).
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsabilités

• Penetrate existing ABB and competitor install base; generate service leads for upgrades, retrofits, maintenance and value-add solutions for MV and LV distributions.
• Develop a customer base in the geography assigned; build relationships and grow share of wallet.
• Prepare yearly commercial plan, submit monthly sales forecasts, and execute recovery plans when needed.
• Support promotion and marketing of ABB’s service products during campaigns, trade fairs, and events.
