Job Position: Site Supervisor (Property Development)
Objective
The Site Supervisor is responsible to monitor and supervise daily site activities, ensuring that construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and good engineering practice, as well as ensuring proper quality control and compliance throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily site activities and report progress, non-conformities, and any issues affecting quality, cost, or schedule.
- Assist to ensure workmanship and construction methods comply with approved specifications, standards, drawings, and good engineering practice.
- Witness testing and commissioning of works and materials, including concrete cube tests, waterproofing tests, and M&E testing.
- Monitor and ensure all corrective actions and defect rectifications are properly carried out and closed out.
- Coordinate with contractors, consultants, and relevant authorities to ensure smooth site implementation in accordance with approved and construction drawings.
- Conduct regular site inspections to monitor the quality and progress of construction works.
- Attend site/project meetings and highlight any technical, site, quality, or safety issues requiring attention.
- Monitor and verify that construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings and project requirements.
- Assist in final inspections and certification, including CCC and partial handover, where applicable.
- Verify all as-built records and operation & maintenance manuals are complete, accurate, and properly documented.
- Maintain proper records of site inspections, testing, non-conformities, corrective actions, and other relevant project documentation.
- Liaise with relevant project stakeholders to resolve site issues and facilitate timely implementation of construction works.
- Report any significant technical, quality, or construction issues to the relevant project personnel for further action.
- Assist the project team in ensuring construction works are completed in accordance with the required quality, specifications, and project schedule.
- Participate in site meetings, inspections, testing, and other project activities as required.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Diploma/Certificate in Architecture, Building, Engineering, or related field
- Registered with BEM and/or CIDB as Inspector of Works (IOW) or Clerk of Works (COW)
- 5–10 years of relevant working experience in construction supervision
- Preferably with experience in building or infrastructure works
- Good knowledge of construction methods, drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
- Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills
- Proactive and detail-oriented mindset
- Ability to work effectively with contractors, consultants, authorities, and project teams
- Ability to identify and resolve site, technical, and quality issues
