Job summary

MTD Group is seeking a Site Supervisor (Property Development) in Malaysia to monitor and supervise daily site activities, ensuring works follow approved drawings, specs and standards. You will maintain quality control and liaise with contractors, consultants, and authorities to keep projects on schedule.

The role requires 5–10 years of supervision experience and a Diploma/Certificate in a related field, with registration as IOW or COW preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or certificate in architecture, building, or engineering.
• Registered with BEM and/or CIDB as Inspector of Works or Clerk of Works.
• 5–10 years of relevant construction supervision experience.
• Preferably with building or infrastructure project experience.
• Strong communication, coordination and reporting abilities.
• Proactive, detail-oriented mindset and liaising with contractors and authorities.

Responsibilities

• Monitor daily site activities and report progress, non-conformities and issues affecting quality, cost or schedule.
• Ensure workmanship and construction methods comply with approved specifications, standards and drawings.
• Witness testing and commissioning of works and materials, including concrete cube tests, waterproofing tests, and M&E testing.
• Monitor and ensure corrective actions and defect rectifications are properly closed out.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants and relevant authorities to ensure smooth site implementation.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor quality and progress of construction works.
• Attend site/project meetings and highlight technical, site, quality or safety issues.
• Verify construction works are carried out in accordance with project requirements.
• Assist in final inspections and certification, including CCC and partial handover where applicable.
• Verify as-built records and operation & maintenance manuals are complete and documented.
• Maintain proper records of site inspections, testing, non-conformities, corrective actions and other project docs.
• Liaise with project stakeholders to resolve site issues and facilitate timely construction delivery.
• Report significant technical, quality or construction issues to project personnel for action.
• Assist the project team to ensure works are completed per quality, specifications and schedule.

Objective

The Site Supervisor is responsible to monitor and supervise daily site activities, ensuring that construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, standards, and good engineering practice, as well as ensuring proper quality control and compliance throughout the project.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications & Requirements

• Diploma/Certificate in Architecture, Building, Engineering, or related field
• Registered with BEM and/or CIDB as Inspector of Works (IOW) or Clerk of Works (COW)
• 5–10 years of relevant working experience in construction supervision
• Preferably with experience in building or infrastructure works
• Good knowledge of construction methods, drawings, specifications, and quality requirements
• Good communication, coordination, and reporting skills
• Proactive and detail-oriented mindset
• Ability to work effectively with contractors, consultants, authorities, and project teams
• Ability to identify and resolve site, technical, and quality issues
