Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Site Engineer to supervise and monitor daily site activities, coordinating with project stakeholders to ensure construction works meet approved standards and specifications.

Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor's in Civil Engineering or related field with 2–5 years' experience, can read drawings, and possess strong communication and problem-solving skills. Willingness to travel and work at project sites is expected.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily site activities to ensure work progresses according to the project schedule.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers on site matters.
• Ensure construction works comply with approved drawings, specifications and quality standards.
• Prepare and submit daily site reports, work progress reports and site documentation.
• Coordinate manpower, materials, machinery and subcontractors for smooth operations.
• Identify site issues and propose practical solutions to avoid delays.
• Monitor progress and report delays or risks to the Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations and client requirements.
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with all relevant parties.
• Assist in project testing, commissioning, defect rectification, as-built docs and handover.

• Coordinate with the Project Manager, consultants, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers on site matters
• Ensure construction works are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards
• Prepare and submit daily site reports, work progress reports, and site documentation
• Coordinate manpower, materials, machinery, and subcontractors to ensure smooth site operations
• Identify site issues and propose practical solutions to avoid delays
• Monitor project progress and report any potential delays or risks to the Project Manager
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and client requirements
• Attend site meetings and coordinate with all relevant parties
• Assist in project testing, commissioning, defect rectification, as-built documentation, and project handover

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field

Minimum 2-5 years of relevant working experience in construction or interior fit-out projects

Able to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications

Good communication and coordination skills

Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail

Able to work independently and under pressure to meet project deadlines

Willing to travel and work at project sites

Possess a valid driving license and own transport is an advantage
