Job summary

MAJU TANAH LIAT SDN BHD is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee mining operations at the Trong Taiping Perak site. The role requires supervising daily activities, coordinating with field crews, and ensuring adherence to the approved plan and safety standards.

You will monitor equipment, manage stockpile activities, and report production metrics to the Site Manager while maintaining strict site records and compliance with environmental and health/safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in mining or related site operations.
• Experience supervising workers and heavy machinery operators preferred.
• Knowledge of mining operations, earthworks, excavation and material handling.
• Ability to monitor production and maintain basic site records.
• Good leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily mining activities at the site, aligning with the mining plan and schedule.
• Monitor mining and extraction activities, including excavation, loading and stockpiling.
• Supervise site workers, operators and contractors with attendance and discipline.
• Monitor heavy machinery condition and report breakdowns promptly.
• Ensure production targets are achieved and stockpile levels are maintained.
• Coordinate loading and transportation activities safely and on schedule.
• Conduct regular site inspections for safety and environmental risks.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures and PPE usage.
• Record and report daily site activities and production metrics.
• Coordinate with Operations, Finance, Administration on site-related matters.
• Report accidents or incidents to the Site Manager immediately.
• Assist in monitoring mining areas and site boundaries.
• Ensure workers follow company rules and site instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by Management.

JOB DESCRIPTION – SITE SUPERVISOR (MINING)

Position: Site Supervisor
Department: Operations / Mining
Location: Mining Site - Trong Taiping Perak

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily mining activities at the site to ensure operations are carried out according to the approved mining plan, schedule and company requirements.
• Monitor mining and extraction activities for Ball Clay and Silica Sand, including excavation, loading, hauling, stockpiling and site housekeeping.
• Supervise site workers, operators and contractors, including work allocation, attendance, discipline and daily performance.
• Monitor the operation and condition of heavy machinery and equipment, including excavators, loaders, trucks and other mining equipment, and report any breakdowns or maintenance requirements promptly.
• Ensure production targets are achieved by monitoring daily production, extraction volume, stockpile levels and loading activities.
• Monitor stockpile activities and ensure materials are properly separated, identified and stored according to their respective grades or types.
• Coordinate loading and transportation activities to ensure materials are loaded and transported safely and according to the required schedule.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify operational issues, unsafe conditions, equipment problems and potential environmental or site-related risks.
• Ensure compliance with company safety procedures and mining site requirements, including the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) by all workers.
• Monitor site cleanliness and housekeeping, including access roads, working areas, stockpile areas, drainage and other site facilities.
• Record and report daily site activities, including production quantity, machinery usage, manpower, truck movements, stockpile quantity and operational issues.
• Coordinate with the Operations, Finance, Administration regarding production, delivery, documentation and other site-related matters.
• Report any accidents, incidents, machinery breakdowns, production disruptions or other significant issues to the Site Manager / Operations Manager immediately.
• Assist in monitoring mining areas and site boundaries to ensure mining activities are conducted only within the approved working areas.
• Ensure workers and contractors follow the company's rules, procedures and instructions while carrying out their duties at the mining site.
• Perform any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Management from time to time.

Requirements

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in mining, quarrying, construction or related site operations.
• Experience supervising workers and heavy machinery operators is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of mining operations, earthworks, excavation and material handling.
• Able to monitor production and maintain basic site records.
• Good leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work at a mining site and in outdoor conditions.
• Able to work independently and manage day-to-day site operations.
• Possess a valid driving licence is an advantage.
• Knowledge of occupational safety and environmental requirements is an added advantage.
