Job summary

HC Industrial Builder Sdn Bhd is seeking a hands-on Site Supervisor to oversee daily on-site operations, manage direct workers and subcontractors, and ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and per project schedules.

You will review drawings, monitor progress, coordinate materials, and enforce safety guidelines while maintaining detailed site records. A Diploma in Civil Engineering or related certification is required, with 2–5 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma, or relevant technical certification in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 to 5 years of hands-on site supervision experience in building construction or civil infrastructure projects.
• Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and M&E drawings.
• Strong leadership and communication to manage workers and subcontractors on site.

Responsibilities

• Daily site coordination & supervision of construction activities to align with drawings and method statements.
• Monitor progress and report bottlenecks or delays to the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
• Coordinate material offloading, storage, and distribution across work zones.
• Ensure workmanship quality and compliance with engineering specifications; rectify defects promptly.

About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on and reliable Site Supervisor to oversee daily site operations and ensure construction work runs smoothly, safely, and efficiently. In this role, you will be the primary on-site coordinator managing direct workers, subcontractors, material usage, and execution quality according to project specifications and schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Daily Site Coordination & Supervision:

  • Supervise daily on-site construction activities, trade works, and labor deployment to ensure work aligns with approved drawings and method statements.

  • Monitor daily site progress closely and report any site bottlenecks, delays, or issues directly to the Project Engineer or Project Manager.

  • Coordinate material offloading, storage, and proper distribution to various work zones across the site.

• Workmanship & Quality Control:

  • Inspect ongoing and completed works regularly to ensure high standards of workmanship and compliance with engineering specifications.

  • Check for defects or non-compliance issues on site and oversee immediate corrective actions by subcontractors or workers.

• Site Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate daily records of site activities, weather conditions, labor headcounts, machinery deployment, and material deliveries in the Site Diary.

  • Assist in tracking site measurements and verifying daily delivery dockets.

• Safety, Health & Housekeeping:

  • Enforce strict compliance with company safety guidelines, DOSH regulations, and site safety management practices (e.g., proper PPE usage, toolbox talks, and risk controls).

  • Ensure good housekeeping and hazard-free pathways are maintained across all active work areas.

Job Requirements

• Qualifications: Certificate, Diploma, or relevant technical certification in Civil Engineering, Building Construction, or a related field

• Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years of hands-on site supervision experience in building construction or civil infrastructure projects.

• Technical Knowledge:

  • Ability to read and interpret structural, architectural, and M&E drawings.

  • Good practical understanding of construction sequencing, materials, and on-site problem-solving.

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong leadership, firmness, and good communication skills to manage workers and subcontractors effectively.

  • Possesses a valid driving license and is comfortable being stationed full-time at construction sites.
