Job summary

Upsite Down Studio in Kuala Lumpur seeks a dedicated Site Supervisor to oversee daily construction operations on-site, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high standards of quality and safety. You will lead on-site teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and maintain compliance with regulations and company policies.

The role requires a minimum of 3 years in supervision on active sites, with qualifications in construction management or related disciplines and proficiency

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or foreperson role on active construction sites.
• Formal qualifications in construction management, civil engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
• Advanced knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations and industry best practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of all workers and tradespeople on site, ensuring work is carried out efficiently and safely.
• Monitor project progress against schedules and budgets, identifying and addressing any delays or cost overruns promptly.
• Communicate regularly with the Project Manager, clients and subcontractors to provide updates on site progress and resolve issues.
• Document and maintain accurate site records, including daily logs, inspection reports and incident reports.
• Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure it meets project specifications and industry standards.
• Manage subcontractor performance and liaise with external suppliers and service providers.

About the role
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Site Supervisor to join our team in Kuala Lumpur on a full-time basis. As Site Supervisor, you will play a crucial role in overseeing daily construction operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget and to the highest standards of quality and safety. This position is essential to our success, as you will be responsible for managing on-site teams, coordinating with various stakeholders and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and company policies.

Key responsibilities

What we're looking for

Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and manage diverse teams effectively

Proficiency in BM is highly desirable

Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans and specifications

Experience with construction management software and digital tools

Valid driving licence and willingness to travel as required for site visits

Problem-solving abilities and resilience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
