Job summary

A construction company in Johor Bahru is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to oversee construction safety management. The ideal candidate must possess a valid Yellowbook recognized by DOSH and have at least 3 years of experience as a Safety Supervisor in construction, preferably in high-rise buildings. Responsibilities include monitoring site logistics, conducting safety reviews, and providing training for construction teams. The role demands a proactive team player capable of working with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Possess a valid Yellowbook recognized by DOSH.
• At least 3 years working experience as Safety Supervisor in Construction.
• High rise building experience is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Design Safety review and provide inputs for detailed HAZOP study.

Site Safety Supervisor (Yellow Book Holder)

• Design Safety review and providing inputs for detailed HAZOP study
• Monitor site logistics including personnel, vehicle and material movements and control
• Waste management for construction waste
• In charge of Construction Safety and reporting
• Provide Site Induction training of construction teams
• Oversee tool-box meetings for construction and safety
• Approval and issuance of Permits for works
• On-site training management upon request
• Provide feedback on Learning from Project
• Provide feedback on Future recommendations
• To keep all records – Safety Committee, safety audit, safety statistics for JKKP or other authority inspection
• Safety plan execution and improvement on site from time to time
• To carry out all other works as and when instructed by the Management
• To advise the Project Director on safety issues of the project
• Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by immediate superior or management from time to time

Job Requirements

• Posses valid Yellowbook recognized by DOSH
• Possess a Diploma / Degree in related field.
• At least 3 years working experience as Safety Supervisor in Construction (High rise building experience shall be added advantage)
• A good team player, proactive and need little supervision
