Job summary

Principle Perspective Engineering Sdn Bhd (PPE) is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to implement and enforce SHE requirements on our onsite works across Malaysia. You will conduct daily inspections, review PTW applications, briefing workers, and stopping unsafe acts to ensure everyone goes home safely and in compliance with DOSH and CIDB guidelines.

You will maintain daily safety records, deliver toolbox talks, verify PPE usage, and assist in emergency drills, reporting to the SHO and Project

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Yellow Book (Site Safety Supervisor) certification issued by DOSH Malaysia
• Experience conducting site safety inspections and enforcing safety rules
• Proficient in reviewing and approving Permit to Work (PTW) applications
• Strong ability to lead toolbox talks and coach workers on PPE usage

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily site safety inspections before high-risk activities
• Review and process PTW applications for high-risk tasks
• Lead daily toolbox talks on hazards and controls
• Monitor PPE compliance across active work areas
• Respond to accidents or near-misses and notify the SHO/PM
• Maintain safety records: checklists, PTW logs, CAPA tracking
• Perform weekly subcontractor safety checks and inductions
• Assist SHO in planning emergency evacuation drills

Job description

To implement and enforce site safety, health, and environmental (SHE) requirements on the ground — conducting daily inspections, controlling the Permit to Work system, briefing workers, and stopping unsafe acts — so that every person on site goes home safely every day, in full compliance with OSHA 1994, DOSH (JKKP) guidelines, CIDB requirements, and the project Safety and Health Plan.

Key responsibilities

Conduct a full site safety inspection at the start of each working day before any high-risk activities begin — covering all active work areas, access routes, scaffolding, excavations, and equipment.

Review and process Permit to Work (PTW) applications for all high-risk activities — lifting operations, work at height, confined space entry, hot works, and excavation — before the activity starts.

Conduct a toolbox talk at the start of each working day covering the day's planned activities, associated hazards, required controls, and emergency procedures.

Patrol active work areas throughout the day to check PPE compliance — hard hats, safety boots, high-visibility vests, harnesses, and any task-specific PPE required by the method statement.

Respond immediately to any accident, near-miss, or unsafe condition on site — attend the scene, render or call for first aid, preserve the incident site, and notify the SHO and Project Manager without delay.

Maintain daily records of all safety activities — inspection checklists, toolbox attendance, PTW logs, unsafe act observations, and CAPA tracking sheets — filed systematically by date and project.

Conduct dedicated subcontractor safety checks each week — verifying that workers have completed site induction, are wearing correct PPE, are following the approved method statement, and have the required PTW in place.

Assist the SHO in planning and conducting emergency evacuation drills on site — ensure all workers know the muster point, alarm signal, and evacuation route before drills are conducted.

About you

Must hold a valid Yellow Book (Site Safety Supervisor) certification issued by DOSH Malaysia and must maintain this certification throughout employment.
