Job summary

ES Otomation Sdn Bhd is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor to implement, monitor, and enforce safety and health requirements across the project in Malaysia. You will ensure compliance with local legislation, client HSE standards, HIRARC, PTW, and method statements.

Required: recognized safety qualification in Malaysia, SSS registration where applicable, and 2–3 years of site safety experience in high-risk environments such as electrical, lifting, hot work, or work at height.

Qualifications

• Safety awareness and compliance with Malaysia OSH regulations.
• Strong knowledge of HIRARC, Method Statements and PTW systems.
• Competent in conducting safety inspections and risk assessments.
• Registered/competent Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) where required.
• Experience with client HSE teams and PTW processes.
• Experience with high-risk activities: electrical works, lifting, hot work, work at height.

Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor the project's Safety, Health and Environmental requirements at site.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and potential hazards.
• Ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and closed out.
• Stop any work that presents an imminent or unacceptable safety risk.
• Ensure workers comply with approved Method Statements, HIRARC, PTW and safety procedures.
• Maintain good housekeeping and ensure safe access, egress and working areas.
• Monitor the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
• Ensure safety signage, barricades, warning notices and exclusion zones are properly installed and maintained.
• Maintain site safety records, inspection checklists, photographs and corrective-action records.
• Prepare, review and update HIRARC / Risk Assessments for project activities.

Job description

The Site Safety Supervisor is responsible for implementing, monitoring and enforcing all occupational safety and health requirements throughout the Project. The position shall ensure that all site activities are carried out safely and in accordance with applicable Malaysian occupational safety and health legislation, client HSE requirements, approved HIRARC, Risk Assessment, Method Statements, Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements and project procedures.

Key responsibilities

About you

Relevant safety and health qualification recognized in Malaysia

Registered / competent Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) where required by applicable legislation or project requirements

Minimum 2–3 years of relevant site safety experience

Experience in electrical, mechanical, industrial, utility, water treatment, pumping station or similar projects

Experience working with client HSE teams and Permit-to-Work systems

Good knowledge of HIRARC, Method Statements and site safety procedures

Experience in high-risk activities including electrical works, lifting, hot work and work at height
