Job summary

Power Shine Star is seeking a Site Safety Supervisor for a construction project in Batu Kawan, Malaysia. The role requires active on-site supervision to ensure safe working practices and compliance with safety procedures.

You will conduct inspections, monitor high-risk activities, and lead toolbox talks to identify and rectify safety issues promptly. Regular presence on site and valid SSS/YB competency are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be regularly present on site and actively monitor daily work activities.
• Relevant SSS/YB competency and valid registration/certification where required by the project.
• Construction/site safety experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all site safety activities and ensure safe working practices are followed.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and safety observations.
• Ensure workers comply with PPE requirements, safety procedures and site rules.
• Monitor high-risk activities such as working at height, lifting, hot work, electrical work, excavation and machinery operations.
• Assist in implementing and monitoring PTW, JHA, Risk Assessment, Method Statement and Toolbox Meetings.
• Conduct daily toolbox meetings / safety briefings where required.
• Identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions and take immediate corrective action.
• Report safety issues, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions to the Safety Officer / Project Management.
• Maintain required safety inspection records, checklists and documentation.
• Stop unsafe work when there is an immediate risk to workers or the surrounding area.
