Job summary

NNS Engineering Sdn Bhd seeks a qualified Site Safety Supervisor to oversee safety and health activities on project sites in Malaysia. The role requires valid DOSH/SSS registration, 3–5 years in site safety, and experience in construction, electrical or infrastructure projects.

Travel to various site locations will be needed. The candidate should have strong OSH knowledge, excellent communication skills in BM and English, and be able to work independently under pressure while maintaining

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid Yellow Book / Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) registration with DOSH/JKKP.
• 3–5 years of working experience in site safety supervision or related field.
• Experience in construction, electrical, engineering or infrastructure projects is an advantage.
• Experience in substation projects is an added advantage.
• Good knowledge of OSH requirements, site safety practices and relevant regulations.
• Strong communication, coordination and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to identify hazards and implement corrective and preventive actions.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
• Good documentation, reporting and organizational skills.
• Good communication and writing skills in both Bahasa Malaysia and English.
• Willing to travel to project sites within other states in Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor all safety and health activities at the project site.
• Ensure all site activities comply with OSH requirements, regulations and company safety procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards, unsafe practices and conditions.
• Advise the project team, contractors and subcontractors on safety requirements and corrective actions.
• Monitor workers compliance with safety rules, procedures and site requirements.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings and safety inductions for workers and site personnel.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining safety documentation and reports.
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, and propose preventive measures.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Engineer, contractors and others on safety matters.
• Monitor proper PPE use and ensure safety signage and controls at the site.
• Ensure emergency procedures and safety measures are implemented and maintained.
• Carry out other safety-related duties assigned by management.

Job description

• Ensure all site activities are carried out in compliance with relevant Occupational Safety and Health requirements, regulations and company safety procedures.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards, unsafe practices and unsafe conditions.
• Advise the project team, contractors and subcontractors on safety requirements and appropriate corrective actions.
• Monitor and ensure workers comply with safety rules, procedures and site requirements.
• Conduct safety briefings, toolbox meetings and safety inductions for workers and site personnel.
• Assist in preparing and maintaining safety documentation, reports, inspection records and other relevant safety records.
• Investigate and report accidents, incidents, near misses and unsafe conditions, and recommend appropriate preventive and corrective measures.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Engineer, contractors and other relevant parties on safety-related matters.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of working experience in site safety supervision or a related field is preferred.
