Job summary

Sediacom Sdn Bhd, a Malaysian engineering contractor, seeks a Site Safety Supervisor to oversee daily safety at construction sites in Melaka. You will inspect sites, identify hazards and ensure HIRARC, risk assessments, method statements, SWP and PTW controls are in place and followed.

Candidate must hold DOSH/JKKP SSS / Yellow Book and CIDB Green Card, with 2–5 years relevant safety experience in HDD, civil works or data centre projects.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of relevant construction safety experience.
• Familiar with HDD, infrastructure, civil works, or data centre projects.
• Knowledge of HIRARC, Risk Assessment, Method Statement, PTW and incident reporting.

Job description

Supervise and monitor daily safety activities at construction and project sites.

Conduct regular site inspections and identify unsafe acts, unsafe conditions and potential hazards.

Monitor safety requirements for HDD, excavation, trenching, underground utility installation, road crossing and civil/infrastructure works.

Ensure workers and subcontractors comply with HIRARC, Risk Assessment, Method Statements, SWP and Permit-to-Work (PTW) requirements.

Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, site inductions and safety awareness activities.

Monitor PPE usage, site housekeeping, traffic management and other safety controls.

Investigate and report accidents and follow up on corrective and preventive actions.

Maintain safety records, inspection reports, toolbox records and other required HSE documentation.

Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Site Supervisors and subcontractors to resolve safety issues and maintain a safe working environment.

Job Requirements

Possess a valid DOSH/JKKP Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) / Yellow Book.

Possess a valid CIDB Green Card.

Minimum 2–5 years of relevant construction safety experience.

Experience in HDD works, Power & Electrical Infrastructure, underground utilities, civil works or data centre is highly preferred.

Good knowledge of Malaysian construction safety requirements and site safety practices.

Familiar with HIRARC, Risk Assessment, Method Statement, PTW and incident reporting.

Good communication, coordination and reporting skills, with the ability to work with workers, subcontractors and project teams.

Willing to travel or work at different project locations when required.

Candidates with NIOSH, ISO 45001 or other relevant safety qualifications will be an added advantage.

Candidates who can start immediately / at short notice are highly preferred.
