Job summary

Esco Audio Visual Sdn Bhd is seeking aSite Safety Supervisor to oversee safety on construction sites in Malaysia. The role includes preparing RA and SWP, identifying hazards, and ensuring compliance with OSH and client safety requirements.

You will lead toolbox talks, inductions, and high‑risk activity monitoring while coordinating with project teams. Applicant should have DOSH/JKKP‑recognized safety qualifications, SSS registration where required, and 3–5 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

• Relevant safety qualification/certification recognised by DOSH/JKKP Malaysia.
• Registered/qualified Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) with DOSH/JKKP.
• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant construction site safety experience.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure, data centre or similar projects is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of Malaysian OSH requirements and construction safety practices.
• Knowledge of Risk Assessment, SWP, toolbox talks, incident reporting and site safety inspection.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills and English proficiency.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

• Identify hazards at site and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented.
• Monitor site activities to ensure OSH compliance with Malaysian and client requirements.
• Conduct regular site safety inspections and follow up on corrective actions.
• Ensure safe working practices by employees, subcontractors and site personnel.
• Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings and site inductions.
• Monitor high-risk activities: lifting, work at height, excavation, hot works, temporary works, machinery use.
• Report unsafe conditions, incidents and near misses; assist investigations.
• Coordinate with Project Manager, Site Team, Client and subcontractors on safety matters.
• Maintain safety reports and records daily/weekly.

Job description

Identify hazards at site and ensure appropriate control measures are implemented.

Monitor site activities to ensure compliance with applicable Malaysian Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) requirements and project/client safety requirements.

Conduct regular site safety inspections and follow up on corrective actions.

Ensure safe working practices are followed by employees, subcontractors and site personnel.

Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings and site inductions.

Monitor high-risk activities, including lifting operations, work at height, excavation, hot works, temporary works and use of machinery/equipment.

Monitor PPE compliance and general housekeeping.

Report unsafe conditions, incidents and near misses and assist with investigations and corrective actions.

Prepare and maintain daily, weekly and other required safety reports and records.

Coordinate with the Project Manager, Site Team, Client and subcontractors on safety-related matters.

Support the project team in meeting applicable DOSH/JKKP, CIDB and client safety requirements.

Carry out any other safety-related duties required for the project.

Key Requirements:

Relevant safety qualification/certification recognised by DOSH/JKKP Malaysia.

Registered/qualified Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) with DOSH/JKKP, where required for the project. DOSH's current registration routes include specified education/experience plus the recognised SSS course and examination.

Minimum 3–5 years of relevant construction site safety experience.

Experience in construction, infrastructure, data centre or similar projects will be an advantage.

Good knowledge of Malaysian Occupational Safety and Health requirements and construction safety practices.

Knowledge of Risk Assessment, SWP, toolbox talks, incident reporting and site safety inspection.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Good command of English; ability to communicate with site workers and subcontractors.

Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Able to work independently and in a fast-paced construction environment.

Willing to work on site and supervise safety activities on a full-time basis.
