Job summary

ANTARA KOH (M) SDN BHD is seeking a Safety & Health Officer to join our HSE team. Reporting to the HSE Manager, you will ensure the health and safety of all employees and contractors on construction sites, in line with regulations and our safety policies.

You will conduct site inspections, develop safety plans, provide training, investigate incidents, and liaise with authorities to promote a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree or diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or related field.
• Minimum 2 years' experience as a Safety & Health Officer in construction.
• Registered with DOSH as Green Book Holder.
• Knowledge of OSHA and DOSH requirements.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive and detail-oriented in identifying safety risks.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Reporting to the Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Manager, this is an exciting opportunity for a Safety & Health Officer to join the growing team at ANTARA KOH (M) SDN BHD'. As Safety & Health Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring the health and safety of all employees and contractors on construction sites, in line with industry regulations and the company's safety policies.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting regular site inspections to identify and address potential health and safety hazards
• Developing and implementing comprehensive safety plans and procedures
• Providing training and guidance to employees on safe work practices
• Investigating incidents and accidents, and implementing corrective actions
• Maintaining detailed records and generating reports on safety performance
• Liaising with regulatory authorities and external safety consultants
• Promoting a strong safety culture and encouraging employee engagement in safety initiatives

What we're looking for

• A relevant degree or diploma in Occupational Safety and Health or a related field
• At least 2 years of experience as a Safety & Health Officer or in a similar role within the construction industry
• Registered with DOSH as a Green Book Holder
• Strong working knowledge of occupational health and safety regulations, including OSHA and DOSH requirements
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with employees at all levels
• Proactive and detail-oriented approach to identifying and mitigating safety risks
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve safety objectives
