Job summary

Bauer (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. requires a Geotechnical Field Engineer to supervise on-site vibro-replacement and stone column installation, ensuring adherence to depth, vibro-amperage and material usage. You will lead quality control testing and coordinate with project teams to meet safety and schedule goals.

Seeking a Civil/Geotechnical engineer with 3–5 years of hands-on ground improvement experience and fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Strong analytical skills and reporting are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in ground improvement or specialized foundation projects.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site vibro-replacement and stone column installation, monitoring depth, vibro-amperage, and stone consumption.
• Lead and verify quality control tests as per project requirements.
• Analyze geotechnical specifications and material trials.
• Participate in internal and external technical meetings.
• Brief site management on geotechnical design matters.
• Prepare sub-soil profiles, schedules and comprehensive project reports.

Job description

Responsible for implementation and control the execution of vibro-replacement and stone column installation at project site.

Key responsibilities

Oversee on-site stone column installation, monitoring execution parameters like depth, vibro-amperage, and stone consumption

Lead and verify quality control tests as per the project requirements

Geotechnical specification criteria analysis

Analysis of material specifications and trials

Participation in internal and external technical meetings

Briefing of site management teams on geotechnical design related matters

Preparation of sub-soil profiles and schedules

Prepare comprehensive project related reports and final handover reports

Assistance with geotechnical instrumentation and testing measures

Work closely with main contractor and site personnels to ensure project timelines are met safely

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical Engineering

Minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in ground improvement or specialized foundation projects

Fluency in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia

Strong problem-solving skills under tight site deadlines and high commitment to safety protocols
