Job summary

Bauer (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking an experienced welder to perform heavy-duty structural and pipe welding on-site in Penang. The role involves fabricating and modifying tools and equipment as needed on challenging projects.

Applicants should have 2–3 years of hands-on welding experience, CIDB Green Card, and a WQT certificate (3G/4G/6G preferred). Ability to read blueprints and work long hours outdoors required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-3 years of hands-on welding experience, preferably in geotechnical, piling, marine, or heavy civil construction projects.
• CIDB Green Card and valid WQT certificate (3G/4G or 6G preferred).
• Proficient with industrial welding machines, cutting torches, grinders and fabrication tools.
• Able to work long hours outdoors; communicate in Bahasa Melayu or English.

Responsibilities

• Perform heavy-duty structural and pipe welding on-site, fabricate and/or modify new or existing tools and equipment.
• Join, extend, or repair thick-walled steel casings and components used during deep foundation or stone column drilling.
• Weld and patch wear-and-tear points on heavy machinery attachments, vibroflots, and steel buckets.
• Accurately maintain work, time, and material.
• Read blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and charts.
• Ensure all welded joints conform to engineering standards.
• Adhere strictly to on-site OSH regulations and wear required PPE.

Job description

Is capable of performing a variety of welding functions. The individual should be familiar with and capable of using various types of welding equipment.

Key responsibilities

Perform heavy-duty structural and pipe welding on-site, fabricate and/or modify new or existing tools and equipment

Join, extend, or repair thick-walled steel casings and components used during deep foundation or stone column drilling

Weld and patch wear-and-tear points on heavy machinery attachments, vibroflots, and steel buckets

Accurately maintain work, time, and material

Read blueprints, drawings, diagrams, and charts

Ensure all welded joints conform to engineering standards

Adhere strictly to on-site OSH regulations and wear required PPE

About you
