Job summary

Bauer (Malaysia) Sdn. Bhd. is seeking a Site Supervisor to oversee the installation of stone columns and related ground-improvement works in Penang.

You will monitor rig setups, ensure adherence to specifications, and coordinate a team of operators, riggers and laborers on a day-to-day basis. The role requires 3–5 years of supervision experience in geotechnical works, proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia, and CIDB Site Supervisor certification.

Qualifications

• Requires Diploma in Civil Engineering or related field and CIDB Site Supervisor certification.
• Proven 3–5 years of site supervision in ground improvement/geotechnical works.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation of stone columns (vibro-replacement / vibro-displacement).
• Monitor rig setups, depth, compaction criteria, and material consumption.
• Coordinate daily activities of operators, riggers, and site laborers.
• Manage site logistics including delivery and stockpiling of aggregates.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and method statements.
• Maintain daily logs, installation logs, and material consumption records.
• Assist in testing and inspection procedures (e.g., plate load tests).
• Enforce HSE regulations and maintain zero-accident environment.
• Liaise with project managers, clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
• Resolve on-site issues to prevent delays.
