Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Site Engineer to provide technical and engineering support for construction activities and ensure works comply with drawings, specs, method statements, and the approved programme.

The role involves coordinating technical matters between the project team, consultants, subcontractors and site personnel, with a focus on identifying and resolving construction issues and recording them properly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Civil & Structural Engineering from a recognized university.
• Ability to work well independently as well as in a team.
• Willingness to travel if required.
• Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and CAD is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Ensure all works carried out are in accordance with drawings, specifications, construction plan, procedures and method statements.
• Ensure inspection and tests are carried out as per inspection and Test Plans and quality control mechanisms are used.
• Submit sample materials and calibration certificates to relevant consultants for approval.
• Ensure project operations and document control procedures are adhered to.
• Implement policies and procedures required by the quality management system.
• Perform other engineering and site-coordination duties reasonably assigned by the Project Manager/Construction Manager.

To provide technical and engineering support for construction activities and to ensure that site works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, applicable standards and the approved construction programme. The Site Engineer shall coordinate technical matters between the project team, consultants, subcontractors and site personnel, and ensure that construction issues are identified, resolved and properly recorded.

Key responsibilities

Ensure that all works carried out are in accordance with drawings, specifications, construction plan, procedures, method statements etc.

Ensure that inspection and tests are carried out as per inspection and Test Plans and that all quality control mechanisms are being used

Submit sample materials and calibration certificates to relevant consultants for approval

Ensure that project operations and document control procedures are adhered to

Implement all policies, activities, procedures, instructions as relevant and required by the quality management system

Perform other engineering and site-coordination duties reasonably assigned by the Project Manager/Construction Manager

About you

Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering / Civil & Structural Engineering from a recognized university, with relevant experience in building construction and Design & Build projects

Ability to work well independently as well as in a team

Willingness to travel if required

Familiar with Microsoft Excel, Word, Project and CAD is a plus
