Job summary

SPRING POWER SDN BHD in Bintulu, Sarawak, Malaysia, seeks a Project Site Engineer to oversee on-site civil and structural works on major infrastructure projects. The role focuses on ensuring plans, specifications and safety standards are followed, with active site supervision and documentation responsibilities.

You will liaise with contractors, consultants and clients, maintain reports, and assist the project manager with budget tracking and cost control on site.

Qualifications

• A relevant degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering or a related discipline.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Site Engineer on civil/structural projects.
• Knowledge of construction methods, codes and safety standards in Malaysia.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, specs and construction plans.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Proficiency with site management software and MS Office.
• Understanding of quality control/quality assurance procedures.
• Professional registration with BEM is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise daily construction activities to meet plans and contract requirements.
• Conduct regular site inspections and quality checks on materials and workmanship.
• Prepare site records including daily reports, photos and test certificates.
• Coordinate with main contractor, consultants and clients to resolve site issues.
• Ensure site safety protocols and regulatory compliance on site.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers for timely resources.
• Identify variations, defects and delays; suggest corrective actions.
• Assist in as-built drawings and project completion documentation.
• Support budget tracking and cost control on site.
