Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised institution.
• Minimum 3-5 years of professional experience as a Site Engineer or similar role in civil/structural projects.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and local building codes (Malaysia).
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documents.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations and site management best practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all construction activities on site in line with schedules and design specs.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship quality and compliance with drawings.
• Maintain accurate site records including daily reports, progress docs and material testing results.
• Liaise between project management, contractors and subcontractors for effective communication.
• Implement health and safety protocols to maintain a safe site environment.
• Address site deviations from plans and propose corrective actions.
• Carry out site surveys and measurements to verify progress.
• Prepare and maintain site documents such as method statements, risk assessments and QA records.
• Collaborate with design team to resolve technical issues during construction.
• Monitor material deliveries and site logistics to improve efficiency and reduce wastage.
