Job summary

Saga Fire Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced, hands-on Site Engineer to manage civil and infrastructure works across ongoing and upcoming projects. The role focuses on sewerage, drainage, water reticulation, water tanks and general civil/structural works in KL/Selangor, with potential stints in Johor Bahru, Penang and other locations.

The candidate will oversee site execution, technical coordination, planning and project documentation, independently managing works from mobilisation

Qualifications

• Hands-on site engineering experience in civil/structural works.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and MS Project for scheduling.
• Strong coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Willing to travel or work outstation as required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and supervise daily site activities, progress and construction works.
• Manage Site Supervisors, subcontractors, workers, suppliers, manpower, materials and site resources.
• Execute sewerage, drainage, water reticulation, water tank and general C&S works in accordance with drawings, specifications and the project programme.
• Liaise with clients, consultants and main contractors on technical, coordination and site matters.
• Review construction drawings, specifications and BQ; identify discrepancies and help resolve site issues.
• Read, review and amend drawings using AutoCAD when required.
• Coordinate inspections and maintain RFIs, site reports, records, instructions and supporting documentation.
• Measure and verify completed work, quantities and subcontractor claims.
• Support progress claims, variation works and VO records.
• Prepare and monitor work programmes using Microsoft Project.
• Coordinate M&E and fire-protection interfaces and support relevant technical development or R&D activities when assigned.

Job description

Saga Fire Engineering Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced, hands‑on Site Engineer to manage civil and infrastructure works across ongoing and upcoming projects.

The immediate focus is sewerage, drainage, water reticulation, water tanks and general civil and structural works. This role combines site execution, technical coordination, planning and project documentation. The successful candidate should be capable of independently managing assigned works from site mobilisation through inspection, measurement and claim support.

The position is based in KL/Selangor, with possible assignments in Johor Bahru, Penang and other outstation locations. The role may also coordinate interfaces with M&E and fire-protection works and support relevant technical development or R&D activities when required.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Civil & Structural Engineering is required.
• Relevant experience as a hands‑on Site Engineer in civil, structural or infrastructure works.
• Able to independently manage assigned site works and documentation.
• Proficient in reading and amending drawings using AutoCAD.
• Able to prepare and update project schedules using Microsoft Project.
• Good coordination, communication, reporting and problem‑solving skills.
• Willing to travel or work outstation depending on project requirements.
• Candidates who can start soon are preferred.

WORK ARRANGEMENT & BENEFITS

• The office follows a 5½-day work week; site schedules may vary and can include six-day operations depending on project requirements.
