Job summary

Setia Awan Holdings Sdn Bhd – Batu Berendam, Melaka is seeking a site supervisor with a civil engineering background. The role requires coordinating with consultants, contractors and authorities to ensure work is delivered on time, within budget and to high quality standards.

Candidates should have a degree or diploma in civil engineering and at least 3 years of site supervision experience. Willingness to work at Batu Berendam, Melaka and ability to perform under tight timelines are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level engineering degree or diploma is required.
• Experience: minimum 3 years on construction site supervision.
• Able to meet deadlines and work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Liaise and coordinate with consultants/contractors/sub-contractors, authorities and Project Management Committee on requirements to complete work on time, cost and quality.
• Monitor site activities including inspections, measurements and supervision to ensure compliance with specs, drawings and programs.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports and ensure proper records.
• Attend audit interviews and project meetings (progress, safety, contractors).
• Issue and enforce verbal and written instructions to all contractors including Nominated Sub-Contractor.
• Assist HOP in overseeing site organization, management and administration.

• Liaise and co-ordinate with consultants/contractors/sub-contractors, authorities and Project Management Committee on the requirement in order to complete the work on time, cost and high quality.
• Monitor site activities such as checking inspection, measurement, and supervision of works to comply with specification, drawings, and programs to achieve target progress and quality.
• Prepare daily report and weekly report and ensure the reports are correctly recorded.
• Attend audit interviews and all projects meeting i.e. progress meeting, safety meeting, and contractors meetings etc.
• Issue and enforce verbal and written instruction to all contractors including Nominated Sub-Contractor (NSC).
• Assist the HOP in overseeing the site organization, management and administration.
• Ensure work procedures are strictly followed in accordance to the project quality plan/ ISO requirements.
• Record keeping and office administration.
• Good interpersonal skills, able to coordinate and communicate effectively with main contractor and sub-contractors.
• Well verse in construction works sequencing especially in Main Building and Infra works.
• Undertakes any other tasks and assignments as directed by the Management.

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements:

• Degree in Civil Engineering / Building or any equivalent discipline.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in construction site supervision and engineering.
• Possess good skill in planning and supervision.
• Independence and able to meet deadlines.
• Candidate with Diploma in Civil Engineering with seven (7) years of experience and above can be considered.
• Candidate with working experience with Main Building Contractor and/or Civil contractor has added advantage.
• Able to work under stress and tight timeline.
• Good team player and communication skills.
• Willing to be based at Batu Berendam, Melaka.
