Job summary

TTY ID & Construction in Penang, Malaysia invites a site supervisor with a Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction, Building, or equivalent. At least 2 years of construction experience is required; preference for civil/building/structural works.

Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Office and MS Project is an advantage. A good understanding of construction drawings, site measurements and methods, plus strong communication and coordination skills, is essential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and Microsoft Project will be an advantage.
• Good understanding of construction drawings, site measurements, and construction methods.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Able to supervise workers and coordinate with subcontractors.
• Responsible, hardworking, and able to work independently.
• Willing to work on Sundays and Public Holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor daily construction activities at site.
• Assist the Project Manager in ensuring smooth site operations.
• Monitor work progress and ensure works are completed according to the project schedule.
• Coordinate and supervise Sub-Contractors and workers.
• Check and monitor the quality of workmanship and materials used on site.
• Conduct site measurements and verify completed works.
• Attend site meetings with the Client, Consultant, Project Manager, and Sub-Contractors.
• Prepare daily site reports, progress reports, and look-ahead reports.
• Ensure construction works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and instructions.
• Monitor site safety and ensure workers comply with safety requirements.
• Report site issues, delays, and defects to the Project Manager.
• Coordinate with relevant parties to resolve site problems efficiently.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Project Manager.
