Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Full-time Executive for on-site civil works in Bayan Lepas, Penang. The role requires 1-3 years of experience and a Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent, with English and Bahasa Malaysia as working languages.

Main duties include assisting the Project Manager and Site Manager in coordinating daily construction activities, preparing programmes, monitoring costs, and ensuring compliance with codes, safety standards, and project specifications.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
• 1-3 years experience preferred.
• English and Bahasa Malaysia language proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Support Project Manager and Site Manager in organizing, overseeing and coordinating day-to-day construction activities at the project site.
• Assist with preparing and updating construction programmes, manpower and material requirements, and monitor project costs.
• Ensure site activities comply with applicable building codes, safety requirements, environmental regulations, and company policies.
• Check and ensure all construction works are executed according to approved drawings, project specifications, construction methods, procedures, and work instructions.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, designers, contractors, and other relevant parties to identify and resolve technical and construction-related issues.
• Prepare, update, and maintain proper records, reports, drawings, correspondence, and other project-related documentation.
• Track actual site progress against the planned schedule, verify completed works, prepare progress updates, and provide necessary information for programme revisions.
• Oversee and coordinate site workers and construction teams to ensure activities are carried out safely, efficiently, and according to the project requirements.
